About the Role

As the Community Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with professional and community referral sources to promote JEVS Care at Home services. You will gain external appointments and grow one-on-one relationships through strategic identification of and effective communications with community providers, service coordination entities, Veterans assistance groups and the general public to name a few with the overall outcome of increased referrals. Essential Functions Include:

Make Quality Personal: Demonstrate a passion for excellence and take pride in the quality of everything you touch and everything you do. Have a healthy dislike for mediocrity. Good is not good enough. Always ask yourself, “Is this my best work?”

  • Develop and maintain strategic referral relationships with community organizations/providers, service coordination entities, Veterans groups, Assisted Living facilities, physicians and other healthcare professional and the general public who refer clients and their families to in-home care services.
  • Promote and maintain JEVS Care at Home’s presence in the community
  • Represent JEVS Care at Home as the home care provider of choice
  • Assist with marketing and public relations efforts, as assigned, and perform outreach functions including attending health fairs, community events, and other activities, as required

Deliver Results: While effort is important, people expect results. Follow-up on everything and take responsibility to ensure that tasks get completed. Set high goals, use measurement to track your progress, and hold yourself accountable for achieving those results.

  • Grow business by a specified percentage through the development of new and existing referral relationships accomplished by sales visits, targeted outreach, and community education
  • Educate and inform professionals and business owners who support older adults, persons with disabilities and their families about JCAH services to obtain appropriate home care referrals to the organization.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the community, healthcare facilities, competition, and referral sources appropriate for generating business for JCAH services
  • Update and track current pipeline of referrals in CRM.

  • Collaborate with CSO on marketing goals, strategies, and plans.
  • Execute “face-to-face” planned and unplanned sales calls weekly
  • Collaborate with team members on presentations and projects.
  • Develop and maintain a targeted account plan and sales pipeline of accounts with robust and frequent prospecting.

About You

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will possess a background in high-level account development and management that leads to organizational growth. You will demonstrate strong communication skills, excellent customer service, be detailed oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast pace atmosphere.

Knowledge and Ability to:

  • Knowledge related to insurance and managed care
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop/nurture relationships
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills, Communication and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Strong Organizational, Time Management and Follow-through skills required
  • Highly motivated, self-directed
  • Ability to work on multiple activities and tasks concurrently
  • Local travel required, must have reliable transportation

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or work experience equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales, marketing, customer service or related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in homecare or healthcare industry preferred
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Public speaking experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM Software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
